A. Why B. Whether C. How D. Where
在线课程【答案】B
【解析】
试题分析：考查主语从句的引导词。why 为什么；whether是否；how 如何；where 何处。分析句子结构可知“_____ life exists on any other planet in the solar system”是本句的主语，是一个主语从句；根据语境“在太阳系的其他星球是否存在生命仍是个谜”可知whether符合语境，故选B。
