ETS近日决定托福网考的考试费用将采取依国家不同而不同的收费方式。做出这样的决定是考虑到不同地区的经济发展状况将对考生对考试费用的承受能力产生影响，ETS从而做出了这样人性化的决定。新的考试费用结构只适用于参加2006年6月30号以后的托福网考的考生。2006年4月17日以后，考生即可在ETS官方网站上查询新的价格。机考托福和笔考托福的价格不变，维持现有的140美元
