In order to prevent the virus from spreading to China, the Ministry of Agriculture and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine jointly announced that China will ban the import of poultry and poultry products from Britain according to related laws and regulations, the Ministry of Agriculture Information Office announced on Wednesday.According to the announcement, starting from January 13, all poultry and poultry products imported to China from Britain will be returned to Britain or destroyed in China. If any international flight, shipping, or train that travel via China or stay in China are found to contain poultry goods from Britain, China will seal up these goods for safekeeping. If the poultry goods are imported to China through illegal channels, China will destroy them under the supervision of the related entry-exit inspection and quarantine authorities.
