Chinanews, Beijing, Mar. 3 – According to the report of the State Meteorological Bureau on March 1, sandstorm in Beijing this spring may last 10 to 14 days, a little shorter than in previous years, but it is still possible for a strong sandstorm to attack Beijing.The temperature in the Yellow River Basin and most places north of the basin is higher than last year while the precipitation has increased, which will suppress the activity of sandstorms.There will be 11 to 15 sandstorms in north China this spring, far fewer than the average figure of 19.2 in the past (18 sandstorms attacked China in 2006).According to the latest weather forecast, there will be a slight sandstorm on March 3 or March 5 in the north part of Central China Plain. However, it is not clear whether there will be other sandstorms or not, as a sleet will come around March 4 or March 5. It will make the situation too complicated to predict.
